What is Chronological Bible Storying?

You might find it hard to believe that 50% of adult Americans are functionally illiterate, and across the globe 70% of the population is functionally illiterate. But, surprisingly, these are accurate statistics.

Overseas, missionaries are ministering to “Primary Oral Learners” through Chronological Bible Storying, telling “God’s story” – the Bible – in an intentional, chronological format. At Aid Sudan, we use this method to spread the gospel on our mission trips and will also use it in future radio station broadcasts across southern Sudan.

Before leaving on a mission trip, team members learn to story the Bible in evangelizing and discipling people, furthering knowledge and understanding of the Bible and God’s plan for mankind. The training consists of learning eight key stories that cover creation through the crucifixion and resurrection.

To listen to the eight stories, please click on the links below. The stories are available in English and in the Sudanese tribal languages of Dinka and Nuer as recorded by our Moses Project missionaries.
