HISTORY

For much of the last half century, the country of Sudan has been ravaged by civil war. During this time, over two million Sudanese have been killed and over four million displaced. Currently, thousands of southern Sudanese live in different places across the U.S. A large part of this population is a group of male southern Sudanese refugees known as the Lost Boys.

The needs of southern Sudan are great, with few developed schools or medical clinics and clean water unavailable in many areas. In addition to war, disease and famine plague the southern Sudanese and many have no knowledge of the hope found in Jesus Christ. Almost completely isolated from the outside world, the southern Sudanese people have largely had to rely on themselves for survival.

Founded in 2000, Aid Sudan is an inter-denominational, non-profit organization serving the southern Sudanese in several targeted locations in Sudan and through U.S. offices in Dallas, Houston and Nashville.

Whether in the U.S. or in Sudan, our vision is to aid in growing strong southern Sudanese communities committed to serving Jesus Christ.
